The original A-frame roof of the Grand Mesa Lodge collapsed under the weight of a historic snowfall in Winter of 2016-2017. The lodge owners were looking for a modern redesign that would honor the history of the iconic building while serving a new generation of mountain visitors. The re-design resulted in a bold stunning log structure, with dining room windows looking over island lake and an added upstairs living quarters for the lodge owners.
