In the summer of 2017, during the investigation of a partial roof collapse, 50 year’s worth of fix-it roofs built on top of one another, were discovered. Upon this discovery, our firm was hired to come up with a lasting solution. At elevation 10,500 ft with snow loads of 160 pounds per square foot, the challenge would come in a near-complete tear down of the multiple conjoined buildings. The new lodge design and old lodge demolition took place simultaneously. The design-on-the-fly result will be sure to leave a lasting legacy.
